Major investment to celebrate 35th anniversary

In September 2017 WeatherBreak moved into a spacious 30,000 sq. ft. production facility on the outskirts of Luton. The new factory is part of a £multi-million investment by the directors in the business to ensure that the company can continue to expand whilst offering high-quality products at competitive prices.

The project involved the purchase of an old industrial factory on a high-profile roadside position at Sundon Industrial Estate in Luton. The old factory unit has been totally refurbished for the 21st century with a new roof, flooring, office spaces, manufacturing, showroom and despatch and delivery areas.

The company had outgrown its old site and the refurbishment of the new factory was like a blank canvas where the production lines could be carefully planned to speed up the manufacturing process. With major investment in new machinery, extra storage for raw materials and recycling spaces, the company has ambitious plans to increase production during the next few years to trade customers, commercial clients and local authorities.

Our new 30,000 sq ft facility has allowed us to plan and lay out the factory to suit the production process – rather than just squeeze machinery into small spaces.

Our customers are already seeing the benefits in lead times and our new machinery also enables us to enhance our product offering whilst remaining highly competitive on price. We welcome customers new and old to come and visit and see the transformation for themselves.”
